It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Hurricane Isaias rolled through the East coast last week, taking down lots of trees in our neighborhood and causing a ton of power outages. We were lucky to be spared from losing our power and suffered no real damage, unlike the storm last year that spirited our gazebo off. I’ve been busy keeping up with Momo (my new kitten), which has cut into my reading/writing time quite a bit.

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Bookstores I Want to Visit

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana at  The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is a Freebie (you get to come up with your own!) I borrowed this idea from Anna at The Bursting Bookshelf. You can view her post here. It was so fun to live vicariously through these pictures as most bookstores are grab-and-go only right now.

It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR

It’s Monday once again! It’s been a fun week playing with my new kitten, Momo. She’s got a ton of energy this week and gets into loads of trouble, but she’s still adorable. Had some friends over on Thursday last week and actually ventured to the mall! (Just to the food court, but still). Was the first time in months I’ve had a good boba tea so I was in heaven. On to the books!

One Direction Book Tag

It was recently the ten-year anniversary of One Direction forming as a band on the seventh season of the UK’s X-Factor. They were only together for six years, but really made a mark on the music scene and on me. I found this tag on Lauren’s page (Lala’s Book Reviews). You can check out her post here. Thanks to thecritiquesofafangirl for creating this tag. Go check out her post! Also, I recently did a Louis Tomlinson Walls book tag if anyone’s interested in his solo work!

The Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag (2020)

Hello! Hope everyone’s doing well! I wasn’t tagged in this book tag, but I’ve seen it floating around and it looked really fun! If you’re on Goodreads and want to keep up with my reading, make sure to follow me on there! I’m not sure where this tag started, but if you do, let me know in the comments!

It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR

It’s Monday once more! I had a long tiring week, but I learned a lot! The New York Pitch Conference was moved online from March because of Covid-19, so I had 8-hour days of Zoom conferences Thursday-Sunday. I kind of have mixed emotions about everything right now, but I’m trying to remain positive and take everything as a lesson. I haven’t been reading as much this week…but managed to finish the book I started last week.

Walls Book Tag

Something I haven’t shared on my blog – but that most people in my real life know – is that I’m a massive One Direction fan. I’ve followed the different paths their solo careers have taken, but my heart will always be taken by Doncaster-native Louis Tomlinson. He’s humble, altruistic, a brilliant lyricist and a completed underrated singer in my opinion. I thought I would make a book tag for his debut solo album Walls. Please feel free to do this tag even if you aren’t familiar with his music because I’d love to see everyone’s answers!

It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR

It’s Monday once again! The days have been flying by. Can’t believe we’re already halfway into June. I’m attending the Algonkian Writer’s Conference / New York Pitch Conference later in the week on Zoom sessions, rescheduled from March, so I’m really looking forward to that.

Phase II reopening is happening in my area, so today restaurants are rolling out outdoor seating and some retail stores and churches will be at partial capacity. Feels nice to be getting back to normality, though I’m still missing my public library.
