Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s topic is “Book Quotes that Fit X Theme”. I chose to do some book quotes about life that I enjoy.Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Book Quotes Celebrating Life”

I had a nice relaxing weekend. It was my first weekend without homework in about six months, so it almost felt like a three-day weekend! I did a game night at my friend’s house on Friday and had some friends over Saturday evening. The rest of the weekend, I just read, rested, did some chores, and watched TV. It was a rainy weekend that was perfect for cozying up inside.Continue reading “It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR”
5OnMyTBR was created by E from Local Bee Hunters Nook, but I found it on Michaela’s blog Journey Into Books. Be sure to check out her post! 5OnMyTBR is a series where you show some love to books sitting on your TBR (to-be-read) list by picking 5 that relate to that week’s topic. This week’s topic is “Purple Cover”.Continue reading “5 On My TBR”
Well, it’s officially been forever since I last updated. I’m happy to say I’ve finally finished the course-work portion of my teacher training and only have to do my student teaching! It’s been completely exhausting and I finally feel like I can breathe again. Going forward, I should have a lot of more time (at least until the fall) to work on writing and this blog.Continue reading “April Wrap-up / Life Updates”
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words. Every week, you dedicate a post to the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What are you going to read next?
I’m sorry I’ve been so lax on updating. It’s been ridiculously snowy here on the East coast, so I’ve been more than happy to stay indoors and read. I’ve also starting working on some miniatures to unwind after work. But mostly, I’ve been busy doing 60-70 hour weeks between work and school, which is not leaving a ton of time for blogging. But I’d love to hear from you guys! What are you reading? How are you doing? What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?Continue reading “WWW Wednesday”
Happy New Year! It’s been a minute since I posted. I took a break over the holidays and got some extra reading and schoolwork done and spent time with my immediate family. Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing holiday. I just squeaked by my goal of reading 75 books in 2020, though I had to listen to the last book on audiobook because I got Lasik surgery on the 30th. Recovering nicely and excited to start off the new year right. Here are some of my most anticipated reads for 2021!Continue reading “Most Anticipated YA Reads of 2021 (January-August)”
Continue reading “The End of the Year Book Tag (2020)”
This tag was created by Ariel Bissett on Youtube. Be sure to check out her videos there! I combined this book tag with the Mid Year Freak Out book tag just to see my progress from July and to see if any of my picks changed. I also took out some questions that just didn’t pertain. ( Earl Grey Books and ReadLikeWildFire created the Mid Year Freak Out tag.) Let’s go!
