WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words. Every week, you dedicate a post to the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What are you going to read next?
I had a wifi-free week last week, visiting Cape Cod with my family. It was nice to get away – one of my first vacations since Covid started. Ate a lot of seafood, went to the beach, read, and relaxed. We came back early on Saturday because of the impending storm on the East Coast. Wasn’t too crazy here though, just two days of rain. Been slowly getting back into things – went to school on Monday and Tuesday to get settled in, but won’t need to go back for student teaching for another week. Today, I’m finally getting around to my laundry from vacation…and catching up on emails. How’s everyone else’s summer been?
What I’m Currently Reading:

I just started reading The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake. This is a book I heard of on Booktok (Tik Tok’s book tag) and I’ve really been looking forward to reading it. I love dark academia and LGBTQ+ representation and this book has gotten a lot of great feedback for a self-published book. Definitely cautiously optimistic about this one!
What I’ve Just Finished Reading:
I finished reading A Master of Djinn and really enjoyed it! I really love P. Djeli Clark’s writing. He’s one of the first male authors whose portrayal of female characters I’ve really enjoyed. I love how unique the world and voice is and the LGBT+ storyline. I’ll definitely be checking out more from him! I also listened to the audiobook For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing on the drive to Massachusetts this past weekend. I’m so picky about mysteries and this one didn’t hit for me. The reader definitely had to suspend disbelief (the police and FBI keep arresting the wrong people with little to no evidence). The ending also wasn’t very satisfying in its resolution. I will say I loved to hate the creepy killer in this book.
What I’m Going to Read Next:
Once more, I have a few on the back-burner, but I’m looking forward to starting The Witch King by H.E. Edgmon and This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron, so maybe those?
What are you guys reading this week? Have you read or do you plan to read any of these books? Leave me a comment and…

Until next time,

Great list! A Master of Djinn and This Poison Heart are both on my tbr! x
