WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words. Every week, you dedicate a post to the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What are you going to read next? 

The weather has been super hot on the East Coast. The heat and humidity has been awful, so I’ve been pretty much sequestered inside in the air-conditioning. We had a huge thunderstorm just as I was leaving school yesterday afternoon, and it’s supposed to rain again today, so hopefully that will cool things down a bit. I was up at 3:30 AM this morning because my cat, Momo, caught a mouse and was batting it around my room. I saved the mouse and carried it down three flights of stairs in the dark to put it into the garden, so that’s good, but I’m exhausted today. Only about 2.5 weeks left of school and I’m both looking forward to and dreading the summer. Lots of change on the horizon!

What I’m Currently Reading:

I just started reading Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell, which I intended to read a few weeks ago. I’m such a mood reader it’s hard to plan what I’ll read next. I’m enjoying reading it so far, but not too far into it.

What I’ve Just Finished Reading:

I just finished The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He. I loved how many twists the book had and the non-ending ending. Really good. I also caught up on the third book of The Heartstopper graphic novel series by Alice Oseman. I really love this series. It’s a sweet first love story, but also delves into serious topics, like coming out, self-harm, identity, and eating disorders.

What I’m Going to Read Next:

Going to try to read The Witch King by H.E. Edgmon or A Master of Djinn by P. Djeli Clark.
