WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words. Every week, you dedicate a post to the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What are you going to read next?
Hope everyone is doing well! I had just had a four day weekend off from school. It was a rainy weekend on the East Coast, but I managed to have a lot of fun anyway. Did game nights at my friends’ house two nights in a row and then had friends over Saturday and Sunday for my birthday on Sunday. I had a little (indoor) barbecue and we ate and played games. It was really fun! I also got caught up on some cleaning and sleep. I also started building a new household miniature (which is a hobby I picked up during the pandemic). How was everyone else’s weekend?
What I’m Currently Reading:

I just started reading The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He. I have to admit that in the past I wasn’t entirely crazy about the Sci-fi genre. I really enjoy fantasy, but until books like Gideon the Ninth, Aurora Rising, Bonds of Brass, The Haunting of Tram Car 015, and the Luminous Dead I couldn’t get into the genre. I think the recent trend toward diversity and inclusivity in Sci-fi have really drawn me in. I’m hoping this book will be the same…
What I’ve Just Finished Reading:
I finally finished Folklorn by Angela Mi Young Hur. I gave it three stars, mainly because it dragged in certain places and was not as cohesive as I would have liked. I’ve been in a bit of a book slump so I got two graphic novels that were quick reads: The Girl from the Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag and Heartstopper: Volume 2 by Alice Oseman. I’ve previously read other graphic novels by these authors and really loved these two books.
What I’m Going to Read Next:
I’m not sure what I’ll be in the mood for next, but these are a few books I have out from the library. The Witch King by H.E. Edgmon, She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen, and Endling, the Only by Katherine Applegate.
I love hearing from you! What’s everyone else reading? Leave me a comment and…

Until next time,

Currently reading: Wired for Story by Lisa Cron. I love the insight it gives to how our brains work with story. I’ve been reading it for a year. It sits next to me in the living room, and I pick it up when I can. It’s non-fiction. Just finished reading: The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. Half way in, I realized it, too, is all about story. Mind-blowing. What I’ll read next: Not sure. I’m looking at Portable Black Magic by Ran Walker. Need to decide today, so I have something to read at lunch.

So many great books. I love Heartstopper! I want to read The Ones We’re Meant to Find but sci-fi isn’t my typical genre. Although, I just read a bunch of the Murderbot series by Martha Wells and enjoyed that. haha. I hope you have a great week!
