It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is doing well and had a nice weekend. It’s been about two weeks since I posted and I’ve been feeling guilty and also really missing everyone on here! Teaching and being back in school has sucked my energy dry. The cold and dark of winter hasn’t helped either. I had a nice Thanksgiving with just three members of my immediate family. We’ve been eating vegetarian, so we made homemade pasta instead of turkey this year. How was everyone else’s Thanksgiving (if you celebrate)?

WHAT I READ LAST WEEK:

I didn’t read all of these last week, but this is what I’ve read since I last updated. I received an ARC of One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston, a WLW time travel romance set in New York, which 10/10 would recommend. I also read the graphic novel, The Magic Fish by Trung Le Nguyen. I’ve been obsessed with Trung’s art for a long time – I’ve bought one of his beautiful tarot decks in the past. His graphic novel was no exception – a really touching story about being an outsider and finding your own way. I just finished Emma in the Night yesterday afternoon. I haven’t read anything by this author, but based on this book, I really want to pick up one of her other books. Loved the psychological aspects of this one.

WHAT I’M READING NOW:

I just started Horrid by Katrina Leno, which let’s be honest drew me in with it’s gorgeously creepy cover. So far so good – looks like it’s gonna be a gothic, haunted house type of story, which I notoriously love.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT:

I just got Julia Ember’s RuinSong and Mara Rutherford’s Kingdom of Sea and Stone out of the library, so I’m hoping to get to one of those next.

How’s everyone’s week going? How was your Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it)? What are you reading or planning on reading? Have you read any of these books?

Leave me a message and…

Until next week,
