This tag was created by Ariel Bissett on Youtube. Be sure to check out her videos there! I combined this book tag with the Mid Year Freak Out book tag just to see my progress from July and to see if any of my picks changed. I also took out some questions that just didn’t pertain. ( Earl Grey Books and ReadLikeWildFire created the Mid Year Freak Out tag.) Let’s go!

Total Books read so far in 2020: 64/75

I’m two books behind on my Goodreads challenge, but I’m determined to make it up! I’m going to have some time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I’ll be working remote half-days after Thanksgiving so I’m hoping to have some extra time to do schoolwork, work on reading, and get some more work done on my novel.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
These are books I’ve been looking forward to, so I hope to finish them before the year is out.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?
These are just a few I’m looking forward to reading, but I’ll probably do a longer post about my most anticipated 2021 reads!
The best book(s) you’ve read so far in 2020:
So many good books this year! And most of them were by new-to-me authors! Some of these will not just be favorite of this year, but favorites of all time!
The best sequel(s) you’ve read so far in 2020:
Tamsyn Muir is pretty much entitled to my firstborn at this point. Loved Gideon and loved the sequel. Didn’t think I would enjoy the Night Country as much as the Hazel Wood, but surprised myself by loving both! The Aurora Rising series is so fun and easy to read. Can’t wait for the next installment.
Your biggest disappointment(s):
Three of my most anticipated books of the year but struggled to get through all of them.
Favorite new to you author:
Loved all these books and it’s my first time reading all these authors! Definitely looking forward to seeing more from them.
The most beautiful book(s) you’ve bought read this year:
So many gorgeous book covers this year it was hard to pick! I didn’t buy all these – some I took out of the library – but I did read them all this year. Which is your favorite?
I Tag: Whoever wants to do this one!
Have you read any of these books or do you plan on reading them? What were your favorite and least favorite books of 2020? What books do you still want to squeeze into your last books of the year? Leave me a comment and…

Until next time!

I loved reading your answers! This just made me even more excited to read Piranesi!

My next book is Blue Labyrinth and I’m ready to be sucked into the page-flipping intrigue. I can’t believe you have read 64 books already this year. I like manage 4, maybe 6 tops! But, so much time reading must impact on a writer’s time, then there is misdirected plagiarism to consider. How on earth do you manage?

Oh, that sounds interesting! My goal is to read 75 this year, but we’ll see.

I also have loved Mexican Gothic and A Deadly Education – and I’m very much looking forward to reading The Last Graduate. I enjoyed Addie LaRue more than you did – but I very much like the look of Bonds of Brass – the premise really intrigues me and Star Daughter looks beautiful! All in all, 2020 has been a great reading year!

Aww no I’m so sorry Addie LaRue didn’t live up to your expectations… on the other hand, I loved it a lot!

Aw, I’m glad you enjoyed it! The writing was exquisite – no doubt – I think the plot and characters just felt a little flat to me.
But that’s the beauty of reading – everyone has a different experience of books!
Thank you for sharing! x
