This tag was adapted from Bookable’s YouTube channel. I found the tag over on Anna’s Book Nook. In the interest of doing a bunch of spooky and fall themed book tags, I decided to do it!
Carving Pumpkins- What book would you carve up and light on fire?
This book had a great premise and was relatively well written, but between the convoluted plot and unsympathetic characters, I didn’t enjoy it at all.
Trick or Treat- What character is a treat? What character is a trick?
Kaz Brekker can be a cold-hearted liar and thief, but he’s had a traumatic childhood and has had to fight his way up on the mean streets. He gets revenge against the person who wronged him and pulls off one of the greatest heists of all time.
I don’t know if “trick” is meant to be reserved for a truly evil character or a character that was just not what you expected. I know a lot of people love the characters and this series, but I just really hated Celaena Sardothien. She’s supposed to be the greatest assassin in the world, but eats a giant bag of mystery candy left on her bed during a tournament where everyone is trying to kill each other. She has no PTSD from her time as a slave and spends half her time obsessing over dresses.
Candy Corn- What book is always sweet?
I loved this book about two outsiders finding solace in each other.
Ghosts- What character would you love to visit you as a ghost?
Noah Czerny from The Raven Boys. He’s a true soft boi and has the added benefit of already being a ghost.
Dressing Up in a Costume- What character would you want to be for a day?
Alice Proserpine from the Hazel Wood is practically fairy-tale royalty. I’d love to be in her mixed-up world for a day.
Wizard and Witches- What is your favorite Harry Potter moment?
I’m assuming “Harry Potter moment” refers to the Harry Potter books and not just Harry’s character moments. As a Slytherin and Draco-stan, I’m going to have to go with when Draco Malfoy saves Dumbledore’s life, as this was a turning point in his redemption arc.
Blood and Gore- What book was so creepy that you had to take a break from it?
Creepy vampire child? Terrifying.

Hope you enjoyed the tag! I love the kitten in your heading picture! I’ve never gotten around to reading Six of Crows, and everything I see things about it I feel guilty 😂🙈. I do like Celaena, but I get what you mean. There are definitely times when she is annoying, and I feel like her character development happens at weird times. Fun post! ❤️
