Halloween Creatures Book Tag

It’s a chill, rainy day here and I’ve got a pumpkin scented candle burning and a cup of coffee beside me, so it seems like a perfect time to do a creepy Halloween tag.

This tag was started by Anthony at Keep Reading Forward so be sure to check out his post!

Rules:

  1. Answer all prompts.
  2. Answer honestly.
  3. Tag 1-13 people.
  4. Link back to this post.
  5. Remember to credit the creator. (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward)
  6. Have fun!

1. WITCH — a magical character or book

I loved Cemetery Boys and its trans protagonist, Yadriel. Magical all around.

2. WEREWOLF — the perfect book to read at night

Very creepy gothic horror best read in a creepy old house at night.

3. FRANKENSTEIN — a book that truly shocked you

Why are creepy children so *shivers* creepy?

4. THE DEVIL — a dark, evil character

Racist old white men. The truly evil characters of 2020.

5. GRIM REAPER — a character that never should have died

Pretty much all the deaths and the idea of a person doling out death is uncomfortable.

6. ZOMBIE — a book that made you “hungry” for more

One of the most gorgeous zombie books I’ve ever read.

7. GARGOYLE — a character that you would protect at all cost

Just like all the girls in this book pretty much.

8. VAMPIRE — a book that sucked the life out of you

While I enjoyed the True Blood TV show, the books left something to be desired.

9. GHOST — a book that still haunts you

Spooky, atmospheric, lingering…

10. DEMON — a book that really scared you

Giant creepy dolls? Sounds terrifying, thanks.

11. SKELETON — a character you have a bone to pick with

Harrowhark is kind of evil in this book. But also, I love her. More lesbians in space, please.

12. MUMMY — a book you would preserve throughout time

This creepy book lingered with me a long time after.

13. CREEPY DOLL — a cover too scary to look at

Such a simple cover, but you can just imagine someone cracking their teeth on that lollipop. And when you consider the book is about an evil little kid…

I’m not tagging anyone but please do this if you want to and tag me in it so I can see your responses! x

Have you read any of these books or do you plan on reading them? Have you done this tag? Leave me a message below!

Until next time,

  1. I love the images you picked to go next to the book covers. They all go so well together. I did end up adding The Little Stranger to my TBR because I do want to get into reading more gothic books.
