WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words. Every week, you dedicate a post to the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What are you going to read next?

I just got back from Massachusetts on Sunday evening. I had a really nice time! We went thrift-shopping, went to a local natural pharmacy, made home-made pasta, ate lobster rolls and fried clams, went to the beach and got farm-fresh apple cider and apple donuts. Also visited a little Japanese bakery in Brookline (Japonaise) I’ve been wanting to visit and got some Ghibli-themed pastries.

What I’m Currently Reading:

I have about two hours left on The Dutch House audiobook, written by Ann Patchett and narrated by Tom Hanks. And I just started Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar. So far, I’m really enjoying it. All the descriptions of Indian food are making me hungry and I like how the author describes the character’s power.

What I’ve Just Finished Reading:

Last week, I read the The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. I’m surprised by how touched I was by it. I love seeing character growth over the course of a book and this one really nailed it. It also had a cast of lovable and memorable characters.

What I’m Going to Read Next

I was planning on reading Tana French’s new book, but realized it wasn’t out until October. I just got The Kingdom of Liars by Nick Martell out of the library, so I’ll probably try to read that before it’s due back.

How’s everyone’s week going? What are you reading? Drop me a comment below and we’ll chat! x

Until next time,
