Six for Sunday: Summer Colors

Six for Sunday is weekly meme hosted by Steph over at A Little But A Lot. This week’s challenge was to find six books covers that had summer colors. If you like this post, be sure to check out my previous Six for Sunday posts!

I thought finding books with summer covers would be the easiest, but since I don’t read a lot of romance or beach reads, I found it a bit harder than I thought it would be. Apparently what comes to mind when I think of summer is lush green gardens and flowers, sunsets, water and oh, some gothic or horror books! (Must be the humidity! Now that’s scary!)

Book Covers with Summer Colors

  • The Girls in the Garden – Lisa Jewell
  • Arrowood – Laura McHugh
  • The Serpent King – Jeff Zenter
  • Where the Crawdads Sing – Delia Owens
  • We Were Liars – E. Lockhart
  • Mexican Gothic – Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Hope you enjoyed this one! As always, it was really fun to find books that matched the prompt and I can’t wait to see other people’s responses to this tag! I have read all this books and enjoyed them if you’re looking for recommendations!

Have you read any of these books or have them on your TBR? What are your favorite summer-themed books or book covers?

Leave me a comment below and be sure to link me to your own post if you did this one on your blog!

As always,

  1. Where the Crawdad’s Sing does have the prettiest and most summery book cover! I agree with you – I think of green gardens when I think about summer colours.
