It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #IMWAYR

It’s Monday once again! It’s been a fun week playing with my new kitten, Momo. She’s got a ton of energy this week and gets into loads of trouble, but she’s still adorable. Had some friends over on Thursday last week and actually ventured to the mall! (Just to the food court, but still). Was the first time in months I’ve had a good boba tea so I was in heaven. On to the books!

WHAT I READ LAST WEEK:

I read Unravel the Dusk, the sequel to Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim. I really enjoyed the first book, which was compared to “Project Runway meets Mulan”. The sequel was quite a bit darker and struggled to find it’s footing. I still really enjoy the writing and the characters, but I think this series would have been best as a stand-alone.

WHAT I’M READING NOW:

I’m reading The Crow Rider by Kalyn Josephson, the sequel to The Storm Crow. So far, it’s taking me a while to get back into the world. I don’t remember much about the characters from the last book.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT:

The Friend Scheme by Cale Dietrich comes out on the 28th and I have it on Kindle preorder, so I’ll probably read that!

What is everyone reading right now? Have you read any of these books? How was your week?

Until next time,

  1. I have been reading The best man by Matt Dunne and The beginner’s guide to Acting English by Shappi Khorsandi. Will surely be going through the ones that you have read though!
It’s a good post. Thanks for sharing. 🌸

  2. I love the cover of The Friend Scheme, I don’t know why but I’m really liking that art style at the moment!
I’m not reading too much at the moment. I have a paperback sitting on my bedside locker that I’ve been neglecting a bit because mostly I’ve just been working my way through some craft books I got via NetGalley and need to write some reviews on.
